Daoist Qi Flow (Yin & Yang) / 阴和阳 – 流瑜伽
All creative, activity begins with movement (flow).Grounded in the wisdom of ancient Chinese Daoist philosophy and enriched by traditional Chinese Meridian practices, our Yin and Yang Flow Yoga integrates Yoga and Dao. Focus on cultivating what is known as “Qi,” or life force energy. This energy flows through the body’s energy pathways and is essential for health and vitality. this practice combines flowing sequences and mindful breathing, blending postures on the mat, standing poses, and dynamic movements guided by energy and consciousness.
This class harmoniously blends the Yin and Yang energies, commencing with flowing movements. The aim is to awaken and invigorate the body’s qi (energy) and blood circulation. Center your focus and align your mind and body, targeting the meridians and internal organs, particularly stimulating the Conception Vessel Meridian (Ren Channel) and the Governor Vessel Meridian (Du Channel).
The Ren Channel, residing in the front of the body, embodies the yin, representing the body’s blood flow. It intersects with the Du Channel, located at the back, representing yang and the body’s vital energy (Qi), from the perineum to the crown of the head. Influenced by Daoist philosophy, this practice emphasizes the harmony achieved when balancing these Yin and Yang aspects. Dao Yoga guides us on an inner journey towards tranquility and joy, tapping into our true natural awareness of body, mind, and heart.
We align with the patterns of yin and yang found in human health, the cosmos, and the changing seasons, mirroring the application of Chinese meridian principles. In the practice,We don’t use our body to get into a pose, we use the pose to get into our body.
